Maximus - German Conquest Armor

Gladiator is one of my favourite movies of all time. I love the details of all the sets and costumes. I thought it would be interesting to try and work out the details of Maximus' armor from the beginning of the film. The boots and shin guards were the hardest ones to find good reference for. I wonder how long it must have taken him to get into costume?
